ACAC Opening Weekend

Well the ACAC kicked off another season and i think there were a few little suprises with a few of the games scores. Mount Royal, who i feel have done an awesome job recruiting a strong team for this season, upset SAIT in both of their games. Another team, Briercrest is already doin as good as they have in the last few years spliting with CUCA. They also have done a great job recruiting, bringing size and alot of talent....Jr A and a couple WHL protected players...Anybody else payin any attention to the ACAC?

Was at the first game on Friday and the Cougar's new tender (Dutton) pretty much stole the game. The Cougar's still took way too many dumb penalties which was their primary problem last year. It took Dan Wilmott all of 5 minutes to pick up his first stupid penalty of the year. I'm glad to see Jesse Bennefield gone - although he put in a lot of goals last year he cost the team more than he helped them.
