The Clash hockey tournament and Flames connections
My son played in the Continental Clash hockey tournament for 2008 born kids in Minneapolis last week and there were some Flames connections that i thought was pretty cool.
Great tournament with 9 US and 9 Canadian teams and a Canada vs the US theme. The size and skill of some of the kids was quite something.
Martin St Louis was a coach with the CT Junior Rangers team.
Chris Dingman's son was a player on Team Alberta
Brad Stuart was an assistant coach with the Western Selects team
and the most interesting of all I thought was that Guy Gaudreau was the coach of the Mid-Atlantic team out of Philadelphia.
Few other NHL guys around as well. Matt Cullen coaching his kid on the Central Plains team.
