What technology do you want?
I sometimes wonder what kind of cool things technology will bring us.
Last night I was thinking of how my fathers hearing loss is creating difficulty in communication over/on the phone.
I’m hopeful that soon during a FaceTime call there can be real time closed captioning. It would give my father the ability to read what we are saying to him and avoid the frustrations of not being able to hear.
It got me thinking of what types of tech people want to see.
The other two I can think of off are.
Instant translation like Douglas Adams Babel fish and a 3D printer that reuses your household plastics.

A matrix quality vr device. Come home from work and plug it in. I can watch the Jets win the Stanley Cup in a private box while 3 gorgeous women celebrate with me. If you catch my drift.

And that's about the only way you will get to see the Jets win the Stanley Cup. In fake reality.

While true you would be in tough with line ups as it would be Iltalian dinner time as well. The Foodaracycle would be a better bet I reckon.

Everytime I'm on some long haul flight, all I can think about is how amazing teleportation would be. Off to Europe for the weekend. Dinner in Shanghai.
Then again, there would probably also be a massive uptick in worldwide crime. So maybe it's for the best we dont' have it.

This must already exist. All sorts of real-time closed captioning programs exists. Surely there must be an add on for hearing impaired people already. If not can a separate program be used?

My mom had a stroke and lost the ability to speak and use her right hand. There are new technologies on the horizon - glasses that would allow her to look at a screen and spell words; a device that can translate thought waves into speech.
