Yeah, Yacboski suffered another injury to the same shoulder he had surgically repaired in the offseason. His season isn't only over, but as a 20 year old, his WHL carreer is over.

Interestingly, the WHL has already bailed on the penalty crackdown, especially if the Rebels are any indication. It was all they could do to hold onto and drag down the Hitmen players as they basically did anything they wanted at will.

As far as the rest of the changes opening up the game, the Hitmen have given up 31 shots total in their past two games, and 46 total in three games against the suddenly terrible Rebels. Strong defense and strong work ethic will always come out on top.

He's the assistant coach.

I'd bet he eats his vegetables too.

Hitmen get a scare, but win again, 4-3 over Brandon, and are now 7-0 on the season, the only undefeated team in the CHL. They are a good bet to be ranked #1 overall in the country when the first rankings come out, I think tomorrow.

Yup they are the number 1 team in the country. Rankings came out earlier today.

Ahh, cool, thanks.

I'm surprised Kelowna isn't on that list. They were 7-3-0 as of last night, and won their 7th straight tonight.

Hitmen are in tough to keep their perfect record intact, as they are about to hit a three game in three night road trip through Saskatchewan.

London Knights unbeaten record is safe. Hitmen lose to Moose Jaw on friday 3-2.

I don't think they are too worried about ever losing that now that there are no ties... I can't imagine any team will ever get a 32 win streak to beat it.

At least it wasn't Brandon that got to break the streak.
