The Wednesday Night Hockey OOT has one game that
has playoff implications. The Habs need one point to clinch
eighth place in the eastern conference and get in the playoffs.
The Columbus Blue Jackets, the city, and the state of Ohio are
hoping and praying the Hurricanes blow the Habs out of their own
arena in regulation time. This will ensure tomorrow's Islanders-BJs
game will mean something. I think coach Brind'amour will ice a strong
lineup and give the Habs a difficult game. No free ride. The other seven
games mean nothing except for the draft order and fantasy hockey points.

While San Jose isn't very good, I doubt the sure fire 7 is going to get the 76 goals they need for all 7 of them to hit 30. Heck I'll be charitable and swap out Kane for Perry (who is exceeding expectations)- 58 more goals to go


while they may not get to sure fire 7 category, the 24-25 Oilers will have one 30 goal scorer. That's pretty good. nearly as many as the 24-25 Sabres or 23-24 Flames


turns out that 7 30 goal scorers is a lot- who knew? Tampa did have 4 this year and a couple other teams still might get there

For once Sportsnet gets it right with the scheduling having doubleheaders on various channels for Wednesday Night Hockey. The first time this season they do this, but, it is unfortunate that three of the four games are anti-climactic. Sportsnet had many chances to do this through out the season. Wake up.


The same can be said for this past Monday's Amazon prime doubleheader, the only one this season. The Prime games are basically timed for an eastern timezone audience.

Hutson was impressive, but what Wolf did is more impressive, and i dont think an argument can be made against that. Hutson helped the Habs, but Wolf was integral to the Flames achieving what should have been a playoff season.

If the Habs make the playoffs, I believe this will be third time since 2010 that the Habs made the playoffs, and the Flames didn't, despite the Flames having more points.
