It's the Saturday OOT and that means it's a great day for hockey!

A reminder that the Iginla retirement ceremony is on Sportsnet West and will begin at 6:30 pm. That means viewers watching the Penguins-Habs game on the West channel will have to switch to SN360 or the other regional channels to see the rest of that game after 6:30 pm.

I don't know why but I really want this playoff run to blow up in Columbus' face. It would be fun to watch the aftermath I guess.

Not today though. For today, go BJs!

After that cringeworthy and horrible opening, the Oilers deserve to lose this game 20 - 0. Rats! OK, 20 - 1.

Remenda with the “Oilers will be cheering for a Calgary win tonight” referring to wild card spot.

Wow, Oilers are up 1-0 already. They do realize that if they win, it's only hurting their lottery chances, right?

Oh, and the BJs should be ashamed of themselves for letting that dumpster fire get the jump on them like that.

Panarin came really close 1 on 3. Would have been highlight reel.

If the Jackets loose to the Oilers they don't deserve the playoffs.

McDavid shoots the puck on net when the defender lays down to block the pass, and Drew Remenda makes it out like McDavid is some kind of genius student of the game and that he "pre-scouted" a play by a player that happens every game.

And they wonder why other fans roll their eyes so hard that they give themselves strokes.

Haha I was watching that and was thinking what the heck...That was just a normal play that even beer league players would make. Im sure if he made the pass Remenda would have said he scouted Bobrovsky and he wasn't anticipating the pass or something like that.

Kekelainen is gonna lose his job very soon. This is backfiring in spectacular fashion.

It’s almost like when your two best players want to leave maybe it isn’t the best time to go all in. Small market desperate moves

The last time that I was this confused by a GM was GMGM in the Las Vegas Draft. I personally expect this time to turn out very differently

If you can't beat the Oilers you don't deserve to make the playoffs.

Really this is the truth. Blue Jackets don't deserver to make the playoffs after getting blown out at home by one of the worst teams in the league. Positive is that the win keeps the Oilers further away from the 1st overall pick and closer to purgatory of not being able to improve.
