Default January 4th OOT Scoreboard

7 games on tonight.

Pittsburgh just scored two goals in under a minute to lead the Jets 2-0 late in the first period.

Preds and Detroit just started - Go Detroit!

Other games later: Jackets at Hurricanes, Capitals at Stars (Go Caps!), Rangers at Avs (Go Rangers!), Devils at Coyotes, Golden Knights at Ducks (Go regulation result?)

1000 games for Thomas Vanek today. Never thought I'd see an Austrian hit that number, let alone over 350 goals and 750 points. Him and Grabner have certainly written Austrian hockey history, no idea if we'll ever have another player that good.

and kind of sad that it's coming to an end soon. Vanek turns 35 in a couple of weeks and he's close to being done, Grabner is 31 already too. And then there's Raffl, but he's 30 as well and only a bottom 6 depth player anyway.

in terms of prospects, that Marco Rossi kid playing for the 67s looks really good and should be a relatively high pick in 2020. Hope he can become a good NHLer at some point.

Scored tonight too. Pretty cool to see. Always liked him, he was so good for Buffalo back in the day.

Lol the duck announcers are so butthurt it's not even funny. Lol actually it's hilarious. Screw the Ducks and their whiny fans.

I'm all for the Ducks getting owned, but the refs flat out blew that one. I don't blame their broadcast team for being butthurt on that one.

But they’re 100% correct. That was terrible by the stripes. We’d be livid if that were the Flames.

How many times has an early whistle cost us a goal this year? At least twice if not more, and you never hear Hrudey and Ball carry on like that.

How about the Penguins? 8 game winning streak and as good as the Flames have been the Penguins are right up with them in the standings.

I recall they were dead last in the league at one point this season, no? Only a fool would've thought they'd stay there though I suppose.

What was the issue on the Vegas goal in Anaheim. I'm late to the party.

Big game for Anaheim, top 3 teams in the Pacific starting to distance themselves.

But yeah no one feeling sorry for the Ducks.

Kesler with a moronic penalty on the PK. Loses the faceoff and takes his anger out on Eakin's face.

Called for 4 minutes highstick, though it might have just been his glove.

Either way, #### that guy.

Delayed penalty on Anaheim, Vegas shoots. Gibson makes save, then uses his stick to clear the rebound.

Looked like a pass, definitely made a play on the puck. Whistle should have blown.

Vegas scores a few seconds later.

Interesting note from tonight's Dallas-Washington tilt. It was originally predicted that Dallas would have to start Bishop because he was accidentally written in on the starting line up card (or suffer a minor penalty as a result) but it turns out that the refs are allowed to let a team correct their mistake before puck drop and the refs allowed the switch without the penalty.

Hopefully the Flames can keep finding ways to get points so they can stay ahead of the pack. With the Ducks falling off lately, it's starting to look like a 3-way dog fight for the division between Calgary, Vegas, and SJ.

THIS is the issue with Mike Smith costing us games though...sure they are still "doing fine" but one slump and there goes first place. Flames should have a cushion

On another note you guys bumped the wrong thread...its the 4th
