Gaudreau will get suspended for embellishment. Wideman effect.

Makes me feel sick. What an awful play by a gutless player.

Give him 5 games. Longer if Johnny is hurt.

Pretty pathetic. Buff constantly gets away with this kind of garbage though, so I would be pretty surprised to see any kind of discipline.

A wack from a wacko.

What an unnecessary thing to do, especially since he got beat.

I love how the players talk about player safety all the time. Meanwhile this happens every night.

League needs to protect their superstars more than what they do. Hockey sticks used by NHL players can be deemed as a weapon and trying to decapitate someone with their stick like that needs to be suspension worthy. That’ll keep players more honest with their sticks.

Should absolutely be suspendable, but the league won't even look at it.

He chokes up on his stick as he goes for the swing.

Should be a suspension.

League honestly doesn't care about slashes, unless the player has to miss games as a result. Johnny gets slashed all the time, and refs barely call it.

EDIT: Unless the player draws a lot of interest league wise like Matthews and McDavid. Then the league will do more to ensure they don't get hurt in the first place.

Should be suspended 2-5 games. They want to protect superstars then show it.

Is there any hockey reason a slash should be at or above the waist? Should be a simple point of emphasis for DOPS

Didn’t watch the game but hard to see where Johnny got hit there. What was his reaction after the video posted? (Mainly just don’t want him to be hurt)

1 game.

Unless the league wants one of their most skilled players to get injured from slashes.
