sad story, but shows another side to backlund, who's perennially underrated around the league and by flames fans for how valuable his contributions and abilities are to this team. i hope he's a flames lifer, seems like such a truly good person off the ice too. of course, i hope he fulfills his childhood dream of winning the cup too, in calgary!

i don't mean to be a jerk, but i hate is when people don't use capital letters. great feature though, backlund is a great part of the calgary flames.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but I hate it when people don't use the proper form of capital. Great feature though, Backlund is a great part of the Calgary Flames (why aren't you CAPITALIZING names, Winsor?).

Grammar and spelling are overrated, as are capitals.
Backlund is underrated. Hope he spends his whole career with the Flames
