Clear clear rooting choices tonight. Go Panthers, Wings, Pens and Leafs (blech).

Well, I hope Hertl doesn't score 4 goals tonight for a couple of reasons.

SJ somehow lets Matthews and Tavares get behind them and the latter taps an easy one in for a 1-0 lead.

The Sharks tied it on a power play goal and then the Leafs took over and through the second period. now have a 3-1 lead after twenty minutes.

The Red Wings have a commanding 3-0 lead and the Panthers are up 2-1, both games midway through the second period.

2-2 between the Panthers and Ducks after 2. Shots are 31-16 for Florida. It's just not a fair goalie matchup for the Panthers. How the hell is James Reimer ever going to out-goalie John Gibson?

Night after night, the Ducks are badly outshot but hang in there and give themselves a chance to win.

I hate to buy the hype but they have got to be cup favourites? Especially if they can deal Nylander or re-sign him for this year. It looks like even if he sits out all year they could win (now that would be a storyline).

They shouldn't make the playoffs but they will probably end up winning the division.

it seems like the ducks have perfected getting pummelled all game long on the shot clock, hanging on, and pushing at crucial times against the run of play and getting key bounces. will they ever go away?

Final scores and recaps
https://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/sco...p?day=20181128
http://sportsstats.cbc.ca/news/NHL-R...ate=11-28-2018

The Pens-Avs game was a battle of the Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. Crosby vs. McKinnon and McKinnon won this round as the Avs won 6-3. Colorado lead 3-0 in the 2nd period and then Crosby took over scoring a natural hat trick, including 2 goals in the final minute of the 2nd period. Hats were tossed on the ice when he scored his 3rd goal and it sounded like the Penguins were the home team. Landeskog scored the GWG midway through the 3rd period. McKinnon gets 4 points in this game with 3 assists.

The battle of former div rivals, Blues-Red Wings, was scoreless 1st period, then the Red Wings took a 3-0 lead during the 2nd period. Just like in the Avs game, the road team came back to tie the game. The Blues scored 2 PPG in the 2nd period and tied it midway through the 3rd period, Perron scored 2 goals. Bertuzzi scored the GWG, his 2nd goal of the game as Detroit won 4-3 in reg time. Howard played well in net making 33 saves and some big saves in the final two minutes of the game.

Friggin Ducks and Leafs. Both of those teams won and can thank their goalies. Gibson with 42 saves and Andersen had 38 saves. Nice return for Matthews with 2g and 1a and Tavares also with 2 goals. Nick Ritchie with 2 goals, the tying and winning goals. The winner came with 88 seconds left in reg time.

They'd probably be dead last in the league if not for their goaltending. I hate how that team continues to just hang around all season while being constantly outplayed. So f'n annoying.
