Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Bennett
Czarnik - Ryan - Neal
Dube - Jankowski - Hathaway
Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic

STARS (courtesy of www.dailyfaceoff.com)
Benn - Seguin - Radulov
Hintz - Spezza - Shore
Nichushkin - Faksa - Pitlick
Janmark - Dickinson - Comeau

Khudobin? Bow?
And he's been away for a few games, but in his CP return, Our Hero brings a hostile reception to the Stars as they Trek through Alberta:

LOL! Well done as always Puppet Guy!
Watched most of the Arizona game through the front window as I took nature's last shot at (relatively comfortably) putting up Christmas lights... so really looking forward to this one!
Hoping the projection of Rittich in net is right! Makes a ton of sense, and will be a validation of who's #1 after (what looked to be) a solid game from Smith.
Really looking forward to #93 and #77 tonight. They've been mounting more and more confidence as the season progresses, so I'm excited to see what they bring against Dallas.
GFG!

I hate playing teams that got shoutout by no goods... barf!
Most likely will be down by 2 entering the third and win by 2.
7-5 Flames!

Finally a game day thread earlier enough for my east coast morning!
Should be a great game tonight. Two teams built around offense will likely come down to goaltending. Hopefully Rittich is the starter.
Go Flames Go!

This is a should win. So just win. A win would put us 2 points above SJ for first in the Pacific and 4 points with a game in hand on Vegas/Anaheim.
Time to start separating ourselfs.

I'm not sure what's up with the Stars but they looked horrible last night as that game was amateur hour by both teams. Flames better not let them off easy as this is a team they should beat.

If the Flames are able to score 1 more goal then the Stars, they will come out of the game with a win. But if the Dallas goalie is able to let in less goals then the Flames' goalie, the Stars will win.
Hopefully the Flames can win so we can all be happier then if the Stars win.

I don't think Bishop is playing. I think the Flames get the third stringer, Landon Bow (or else Khudobin will start BTB).

I kinda hope the Flames didn't watch that game and get hugely overconfident.

My birthday today and going to the game. Looks like it will be a close 5-3 game for the Flames (reverse of my age).

If we are playing against Dallas' third string goalie that is looking for his first ever win, be prepared for a terrible evening of hockey.
Then again, this is a completely different team this year, way more mature and resilient.

The Stars' injury report. Bishop went down last week and supposedly might be ready for Saturday. He only just started skating yesterday.

Dallas is such enigma. So much talent. So recently a decent team. But they seem like garbage now. Benn has long been a favourite player of mine but the guy must be bummed to see his team struggle year after year.
Lindholm comes back to life with a pair of goals. Bennett with a goal and a game changing hit. Killington does something noticeable.
The discussion around the goaltending situation drives me bonkers. Everyone wants to declare a starter, or think if someone starts two in a row it mean the coach declaring something. But I think the coach is focused on winning games, and trying to get them both going with some confidence. The Flames are our team. We want Smith to play well. It is awesome that Rittich is playing so great. If they were both playing good, it’s better for our team. Personally I would play Rittich tonight but give Smith another start very soon. But I won’t be surprised if it is Smitty tonight.

I think people are more worried that we get 5mith again, and I think it'll be a few good games before the coach's decision to give him another kick at the can doesn't worry people that this game might not be a fun one. It's not necessarily people trying to figure out the coach any longer... it's the fear that they're going to pick up the dice again.
Schedule wise, this should be Rittich. Smith has an opportunity to play CHI & LA right after this.

Wills is saying on 960 that he thinks Smith will get the start. Hope he's wrong as I think the Stars are the type of sleepy opponent that you can beat with good effort and not giving up easy goals against. The worry about Smith in the Dome is the soft goals especially early in games which could be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Stars.
