Not sure if this was posted previously, but thought it should get it's own thread.
Congrats to Calgary's Cassie Campbell Pascal for being the first female to be added to the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee.
Great recognition for her expertise as well as her contribution to the game. From the article the positioned opened up when Eric Duhatschek finished his 15 year term and the passing of Bill Torrey

I really hope this doesn’t derail this as it is quite the accomplishment and good on her. But him saying she was given the job to appeal to the women demographic and him thinking her worthy of this honour are able to exist at the same time.
Anyways congrats to Cassie, can’t stand her as a broadcaster but she is quite the accomplished player and has definitely made her mark on hockey.

I don't doubt that Thor's sentiments are genuine and I don't intend any real slight towards Thor either. Just made me laugh a bit as the level of enthusiasm seemed compensatory following on the game thread comments, so poking a bit of fun.

Congrats to Cassie Campbell-Pascal
It’s deserved. She is leading the way for women in sports which is awesome.
Ken Campbell from the hockey news completely misfired in calling her biased and unsuitable for flames games because of Brad Pascal’s job with the team.

Very good for her.
For those of you being critical of her work on SN, please remember Hrudey when he started. He was terrible. Now, one of the best. I see Campbell-Pascal following the same path. In fact, I think she’s better at the same points in their perspective careers. It’s not easy. Definitely not as easy as overt anonymous criticism.
