Default October 24, just four games.

Once again, it is the Wednesday Night Hockey doubleheader for the networks in both countries for tonight's OOT.

The Leafs-Jets game is part one of a home-away series as the two teams play each other again on Saturday.

Just because pot is legal every day, it doesn't mean that every day is October 17.

Thanks getbak for reminding of the one week anniversary. Slybomb, I have to admit that I did not catch the time machine phrase. Lol, long day.

Ennis scores on a deflection, 2-0 Toronto.

The Islanders lead 1-0 after twenty minutes. The goal had to be reviewed as it just crossed the goal line.

Bo Horvat is a hell of a player.

Really worked hard and continued to develop.

It is a goaltenders' dual so far in Tampa Bay-Colorado game, no score after forty minutes. Great defensive plays.

Canucks and Knights are tied in the second period.

Canucks win in the shootout.

they lost Edler, Beartschi and Tanev in a game where they were already without Pettersson and Boeser.

Mike Gillis did some questionable things (not all bad) but his decision to trade Schneider to move up and pick Horvat is looking nothing short of genius now. Horvat has become exactly the type of player you build a contender around. He is a stud!

The Panthers complete the comeback on the road, down 2-0 heading into the 3rd period and win it in OT. Hoffman scores the winner 33 seconds into OT on the PP. Talk about consistency, the Panthers have 13 shots on net in each period.

Kucherov scored the only goal in the 3rd period. to defeat the Avs. Vasilevskiy with the 22 save SHUTOUT. The Lightning challenged an Avs goal and it was overturned as it was offside.

The Leafs, good road win against the Jets and are undefeated on the road, 5-0-0. Kadri gets his 1st goal of the season. Lots of shots, 40-39 in favour of the Jets.

The Canucks finally beat the Knights. Gritty effort by the Canucks. The PK for the Canucks helped out going 4/4.

Horvat is a decent defensive player that will likely hit 30-30-60 in his prime, with maybe a few years above that due to randomness etc..

A very good #2 centre on a contending team.

If you are building your team around him, you aren't likely making the playoffs.

And IIRC, the decision to trade Schneider wasn't made at a time when it was known that Gillis could draft Horvat (i.e. just before the pick), but was made just prior to the draft. But I may well be wrong on that.

I watched the end of the Canucks/Vegas game. If that portion was an indication, the Canucks were pretty lucky. They were vastly outshot and outskated. Markstrom was very good.

Really, Granlund scored because Fleury made an ill-advised pokecheck right when the shot was being taken. TBF, Fleury isn't usually wrong on those but he was this time.
