Not exactly surprising, but Ovechkin has 13 points, 8 goals in 8 games played.

I kinda thought his season would start off slow due to the Cup hangover (literal and proverbial) but he looks as hungry as ever.

85 away from 700 at age 33. It'll be fun to watch his milestone march toward greatness. He'll be passing the great Jarmoe Iginla this season.

I believe Chiasson just made his season debut for the Oilers.
And is McElhinney still undefeated in Carolina?

Good info, only thing I have that may be interesting, is that the oilers are NO good.

I was also surprised to see he is -2, despite the hot start.

Kopitar with 2 goals and 0 assists through 7 games has to be concerning for the Kings. He's on a big time contract.

I think the Kings have plenty of concerns at this point. It's early but they look like they could be that surprise team that totally bombs into lottery territory.

Bob Hartley is currently 15-4-2 coaching Avangard Omsk in the KHL. Kris Versteeg (who also signed with Omsk) is 3+2 in 11 games; Cody Franson and Max Talbot are also on the roster. 3rd in the conference, 1st in the division.

The top team in the conference (Yekaterinburg Automobilist, who is a 20-1-0) is led by KHL superstar Nigel Dawes, who leads the team with 7+14 in 21 games.

Yup this guy needs to get it together for my fantasy league. Very dissapointing so far this season. I like the Kings at the bottom of the standings but if anyone can score please be Kopitar.

His line has had 11 ES goals scored on them I think I read..

Game Plan: Shut down Taveres Line, break even against Matthews, don't take a penalty!

In keeping with the Kings news, Kovalchuk has 2g, 3a and is -2 in 8 games. Totally forgot he came back.

I hear that. I traded Johansen plus a high pick for him and it's not looking so good.
