Anybody have a rental car hookup for a CPer???

Hi all,

I am currently in the middle of a little bit of a lifestyle change and I am not sure what my future holds in the next several months in Calgary.

I have a summer car that I clearly need to garage for the winter and I am not interested in buying a new car or a beater for the winter.

I may look at a long term rental of a car or truck on and off for the winter as it gives me flexibility until I find out what is going on.

Long story short, does anybody have a hook up or connection for a rental car via a relative or friend at a local car rental shop in YYC? Since I may be renting on and off for a period of 6 months or so, any discount or hookup could be helpful.

Sounds like a job for my cousin car2go.

Seriously though, even with a friend any rental wouldn't be cheap by the month, why not buy a beater on the cheap, put minimal insurance on it and sell it for about the same money in 6 months?.
