Default Flames defeat Sharks 7-5

Hanifin, Andersson, Kylington with absoutely strong games. There's a bright future on the backend for this team. Especially with the league going toward puck moving/good skating d-men. Flames have that in spades.

Rough start in the first period, but the Flames played much better in the 2nd and 3rd periods as we should expect.

Well I know that there's contract concerns, and a body of evidence existing before this pre-season...

...but there's a reason preseason exists, and for a battle such as Rittich vs. Gillies, I do believe that preseason performance can tip the scale. Rittich has played a few stinkers so far, even if the whole team hasn't played particularly well in front of him.

I think this game tips the scale for Gillies over Rittich.

Yup. Defense is set for hoever long we want Defense. Anderssons NHL career should start October 6th, 2018. Kylington not too far behind.

Bennett scored, Monny scored, Czarnik scored, Gaudreau pots 2 with a beauty on goal #2.

solid night despite the atrotious 1st.

an unpopular opinion but I am not long for Kulak or Rittich. I think we can do better or have better.

Fun game! Flames were clearly mailing it in during the 1st, but they came to play in the 2nd and took over the game for the final 40 minutes. Peters must have tore a strip off 'em during the 1st intermission.

I liked that line. The team looked absolutely lost before Benny, Janks and Frolik really got in on the forecheck on a shift and caused some havoc.

I’d still love to see those two play with a sniper, but Frolik could be a good fit.

We really do don’t we? I’m starting to feel pretty confident that Kylington turns into a nice looking NHL defenseman. It still might be a year away but I really think we have a player in that kid.

Where exactly was that shot going? Oh right, nowhere near the net, except when deflected.

10 out of 10 people could score that goal.

I have been at practice and they have been practicing that all week.

I think Kylington, Prout and Rittich all played their way to Stockton after this one.

Lazar did nothing to make me think he is anything but Cali bound as well.

Cuts likely tomorrow I would guess.

Kylington needs to start doing puck handling drills full time, ignore literally everything else. Everything with him is NHL-ready but his hands are so bad, he bobbles pucks like crazy.

If he could carry the puck better then his speed would be even more of an asset.

Same here. I only saw it work out about three or four times but they kept at it all week.

Loved Kylington's patience and pass on the Bennett goal.
