Since the tsunami last Christmas, the world has taken on some pretty massive catastrophies. This looks like it will be another one, with the death toll in the thousands. Extremely scary shots of some of the buildings that look like they were taken down in controlled demolitions.

They put the death toll at about 400 people right now. Typically if you can confirm that many deaths in an earthquake this early on, you have a potential staggering toll on your hands, unfortunately.
