Default Chain Link fence/dog run

So our nearly 1 year old dog chewed through his plastic kennel yesterday, we were planning on a better solution anyway but he is speeding up the project. What I want to do is basically separate half the basement into a chain link dog run (26' x 6'). The support post will be along the fence line so can be used for support so I wanted to attach the fence just a strip of 26' to the studs in the wall on either side and the post for center support.

Question is should this work without support stands under the posts, how do I build a chain link fence (I can google but advice is good), and where is the best place I can go this weekend to buy everything?

I did this in our basement when our dogs were younger. Honestly, go buy one.

You would need cross pieces on the floor to keep it stable because the chain link really gets stretched. You could probably piece it all together but not from a big box store. They don't sell a tonne of the smaller diameter stuff.

For the floor I used the insulated basement flooring tiles, carpeted half of it in outdoor carpet and the other half adhesive tiles.
