Default Justice finally for 15yr Jordan Edwards.

15 year old Jordan Edwards finally receives justice.
Police officer Roy Oliver fired into a vechile on the passenger side last year killing Jordan Edwards afrer a noise compliant for a house party.

Oliver claimed he fired because he feared for the safety of his partner but his partner testified he was never in danger nor did he fear for his life.

For those that don't remember You can google the original footage. It is NSFW and I wont repost it .

This was a big story last year. This is what the core of Black lives matter is talking about.

Not sure I agree with a murder conviction, manslaughter would have been my choice. I'm sure he didn't grab his rifle thinking "here's my chance to kill someone". He grabbed his rifle because there were gunshots heard in the area of the party. I'll be shocked if he doesn't beat this conviction on appeal.

One things for sure, it must be extremely hard to be a cop in the U.S knowing how many people have guns, especially in states like Texas. people forget cops are human and they freak out like everyone else from time to time.

For sure. Though you should be trained to assess these situations as it's your job to do so. Police entitlement has to change over time as well. Far too many meat heads in the North American police forces who have a God mentality.

However, poor training and screening of recruits leads to some genuine scumbags becoming cops to satisfy their needs for a power trip. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t awesome cops, or that the job isn’t extremely demanding and stressful. But there are too many losers making into police forces and receiving sub-par training.

Not trying to pick on you here, but this phrase seems inaccurate. Justice is impossible. You can't make whole someone who is dead.

Justice isn't about making whole; that's insurance. Justice merely means that a sentence appropriate for the crime was handed down by a judge.
