Oilers sign Brodziak (2 yrs, $1.15 mil AAV) and Kevin Gravel

Kyle Brodziak closing in on Oilers this morning. Could be surprised by another offer, but expecting two years and an AAV of around $1M for the 34 YO in EDM.

In 70 career games with LAK, Gravel had 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists).

I think that’s a good signing for the Oilers. Brodziak addresses a weakness for them, someone - anyone - being defensively aware. It will make them tougher to play against, which isn’t a good thing.

He'll be noticeable for the wrong reasons in Edm.

Is the mountainous one?... i saw a Kings game here in Vancouver last year and they had one D that looked massive, I think it was him.
Edit : he's 6'4" 212 ..so he's big, but he appeared larger than that, to me.

This could actually be a good signing. I didn't watch see him play much last year but two years ago he looked primed for a breakout.
Anyways,
