Bought 3 of these to run AiMesh through the entire house with one on each floor. After a few weeks I realized that 3 is major overkill as devices on the top floor never even bothered switching from the main floor AP as they got full signal. Decided to just go with 2 and simplify the smart connect setup.
This is the RT-AC5300 (not the GT-5300 which has different hardware and some wifi quirks). The router was used for 2.5 weeks and has been in a box since then. Just remembered it was sitting in my storage closet when the thread on mesh systems popped up. It works flawlessly with AiMesh.
