Ducks Mony and his great hair shipped out to rival

The Ducks have made another move today...this one 2 or 3 weeks in the making.

TO LA
Sean Monahan

TO DUCKS
10th OVR pick this year
1st (CHI) 21'

We would have been happy keeping Mony, but the reality is to make deals you need currency like 1sts, and we were running out. We also have a really solid Top 6 that we are happy with, so we can likely target some more depth with UFA signings, or maybe trade for some good 2nd or 3rd liners if the right deal is there.

The Kings get Monahan who is a CP stud and is a great young #1 center. Can't hoard all the Flames anyways!

I'm not sure if I'll regret this deal or not, more risk on my side but fun to do either way.

Thanks Completely for the back and forth chats.

I'm sure it was hard to let Mony go but for 10th overall this year and a 1st next year, I think it's a good haul.

LA gets his 1C but I think this is a great deal for Anaheim. Well done boys.

Had a lot of options, but I liked Monahan, and sometimes it's nice having one of my favorite flames on the team.

That first next year is probably a top five pick!

I'm far from a Month fan but I think this is good for the Kings. See if simmer can do some flipping to maximize the value of those 1sts...not sure patience is his game.

You would be correct. I need to have patience everywhere else in my life, so it's nice not needing it here!!
