Bingo should get a medal for doing write-ups this season.

Always enjoy your takes and commentary. A voice of reason when the season went into the toilet.

Thanks for the game reports. Love them! They're a post-game, pre-bed staple for me.

Surprised this hasn't generated more discussion

"Francis offered up a handful of Calgary players were in it for themselves and would be traded in the off season; he was pondering an article to out them but hadn’t decided.
So who is he talking about?
My gut is on Johnny Gaudreau as the main target as I’ve seen more than enough evidence in the last month or so of the player giving up defensively has driven this writer nuts.
But others?
Dougie Hamilton? Micheal Ferland?"

I think management probably doesn't have a specific list, but rather, just looks at the roster and sees too many passive and one dimensional players. I think selling high on Ferland would be prudent. But within the group that includes the likes of Johnny, Monahan, Hamilton, Brodie and Sam- I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of those dealt. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was a stunner involving Hamiltion or Johnny.

I know people don't like the notion of trading Johnny. And he is HIGHLY entertaining. But I see him as an opportunity to really address the overall asset void in the organization if you can get someone to really pay up to get him. And I'm not convinced he's a guy you win with.

Nonsense.

This team is holding Johnny back, not the other way around.

You seriously think that if Treliving actually builds a team capable of winning the Stanley Cup Gaudreau would hinder that from happening? Haha

You said you don't think he's a guy you win with.

He's proven you wrong at every level.

Any team with enough talent can win with Gaudreau as a part of it, he's not going to hold them back from that.

It's up to the flames to build that team.

I perhaps didn't word it well enough - my point was that I'm not convinced you win with him as your best player. I'm by no means calling him a loser as some have suggested

OK, but I certainly don't see how the solution is to trade him for a collection of worse players, which is what would likely happen if you dealt him for some sort of "package" of assets.

Then you go about surrounding him with players that will take some of the pressure off him.
