Time to Panik?
The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Richard Panik and Juho Lammikko from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Carter Rowney and Jeremy Bracco.
Panik seems to be a good fit, 70 OV, RFA, shouldn't rerate poorly and can play up and down the lineup. Lammikko is just an add in to make up for Rowney. Bracco has lots of potential and could turn out great however Oilers management believes he's gonna have time cracking the Maple Leafs roster for a few years as they're very deep. Rowney has a contract we really liked at league minimum and has spent the season as the 4th line centre for the Pens but we needed to clear a forward spot and we'd rather get something for him as opposed to placing him on waivers and losing him.
Thanks to TurdFerguson for the deal, the deal only took a few hours to make which is the ideal situation in any negotiation
