pizza delivery recommendation
anyone have a pizza delivery restaurant recommendation for calgary downtown / beltline - tried papa johns - not enough toppings on their pizza for my liking - i am looking for a thick pizza - like houston pizza in regina or something like that - any help would be appreciated - i'm kinda hungry

So what you're looking for is a Greek-style pizza, then?
Manie's on 17th Ave SW (Mount Royal Village)
Lorenzo's on 17th (close to 4th) (has a few different crust options)
Niko's on 11th St. (down from Galaxie Diner)
4th St. Pizza in Mission
Volo's in Bankview (I think it's Bankview) also does a thicker pizza.

Drop the mic and walk away....one of the top 3 in the city IMO.

I don't know what it is, but there's something about Volo's that I don't care for. It's fine, but I don't find it great.

It isn't for everybody but its hard to find greek style places much better.

That is my favourite pizza joint in the neighbourhood, for sure. The OP asked for thicker pizzas, which is why I didn't recommend it, but man, it is good. I miss Vogglio de Pizza on 14th, their olive and oregano pizza was amazing.

spiros on 17th was one i used to go to quite a bit back in the day...I thought it had pretty good greek pizza, though i am no expert by any means...
but haven't been there in probably 7 years since moving...
now i'm feeling hungry!... anyone know if Spiros is still good?

Yeah, reading comprehension fail on my part. For thick pizza it's Niko's, but everyone should try Gaga. The spinach, olive, prosciutto and figs is my favourite.

I used to love Odyssey, but after the ownership changed, I found the quality dropped off significantly. I know it's changed again since, tried it once and the pizza was dry from a lack of pizza sauce. never went back.
