I love having Hamilton but I really wanted CGY to draft Barzal that draft.

The Habs are the spoilers as they defeat the Islanders 3-1. The other big loss for an eastern team had the Red Wings losing 2-1 in regulation time. The Sabres surprise the Lightning in the shootout. The Rangers are hanging on to stay in the playoff race, they are up 4-3 after forty minutes despite being out shot 35-17!

New guys for them making a difference. Spooner with another 2 assists (4 in 2 games) and Namestnikov with a goal and an assist tonight.

I've seen more skill out of Brendan effin Leipsic in the last 5 minutes than from the Flames 4th line all year
Fun game in Van, going to OT

The Islanders have found a bad time to slump, they've lost 4 straight and 6 out of 8 games and are 4 points back of 8th place in the east. Barzal scored the opening goal and that was it for the Isles.
The Sabres pull off another upset with the OT win. Pomminville scored the GWG on the PP as the Bolts only get 1 point to increase their conference lead on the Leafs and Bruins.
The Blues get a big win as they win for the first time in 8 games. Hutton made 35 saves and almost had the shutout, Athanasiou scored with 1:45 left. The loss for Detroit keeps them 7 points back of the final eastern playoff spot, for the Blues it puts them in a playoff spot and tied with the Ducks.
The Rangers and Canucks put on quite a show as the Rangers had a 3-0 lead in the 1st period. Markstrom was pulled after letting those goals in on just 5 shots. The Canucks came back to tie it at 3-3 and Boeser scores his 2nd of the game to tie it at 5-5 with 46 seconds left in reg time. Gilmour scores the GWG in OT and the Rangers are now just 7 back of a playoff spot.
