Default Mike Fisher Unretiring

Big news out of NSH with the Predators set to announce Mike Fisher @mikefisher1212 is coming out of retirement to return as an active player. Not sure anyone saw this coming, perhaps including Fisher himself.

Word is Fisher was quite content in retirement but NSH reached out to him in recent weeks and planted the seed about a possible return. And here we are today, with Fisher having agreed to terms on what is believed to be a one year deal for the balance of this season.

@TSNBobMcKenzie
No timetable on exactly when he’ll be back in the NSH lineup playing games, but one would think it will be sometime between now and the Feb. 26 trade deadline/roster setting.

Wow that’s kinda crazy. Cup or bust in Nashville. He could be a decent depth add for the 4th line.

I always thought it was a bit weird that he was hanging them up after last year’s run. Happy to see him coming back.

Apparently being a kept man at the hands of Carrie Underwood just isn't enough for this guy.

Good depth for the playoffs

Nice no risk move, saves them having to move assets for a bottom 6 center top

Wonder if this has anything to do with wife Carrie Underwood's recent accident that has altered her appearance. Apparently, she needed 40-50 stitches to her face; and has warned her fans that she's going look to "different". Someone's gotta start paying the bills. /s

Yup, looks like the Preds are planning for a parade in July and Carrie Underwood is gonna sing her heart out. That's only if everything goes the Preds' way. Would that be something if the Golden Knights ruined that party?

This seems way more legit than when Neidermayer did it.

As someone who has been in a car accident that "altered my appearance" I have to ask, what made you think this was a reasonable comment to make? What is the point of you posting this?

I thought it was sort of strange for a cup less vet who still was playing ok and on a cup contending team to not take another crack at it (when he retired).

I always liked Fisher.

It's a bit of an insensitive joke but let's call a spade a spade, Carrie Underwood's financial success does rely quite heavily on her looks.

Or you know, as a singer, her ability to sing.

I had not heard about her accident, and it's unfortunate that what you say is generally true about popularity and being a celebrity. None of this has made the joke funny, though. Just seems an unnecessary thing to say

Her looks certainly played a part in getting her start, but her signing pays the way now.

Look at Kelly Clarkson. She certainly doesn't look like she used to, but is as popular as ever.

Talent in signing does matter.

wonder if there was a wink and a nod deal here when he retired? nonetheless, I'd be ok with smashville winning the cup
