Flames VS Preds - 6PM - 📺 @Sportsnet West 📻: @Sportsnet960
Big Game tonight. It'll either make this road trip a successful one or a average .500 trip they also need these 2 points to stay in the race for the Pacific. Pekka is playing lights out right now so scoring may be tough to come across for the Flames. Lets hope they can get a quick goal to place some doubt into his mind.

Not so long ago, the people of Nashville said "y'all come back, now". Well, the pWo came back, alright. And hittin' the honky tonks ain't their plan:

Flames/Preds games are almost always fun and as noted the Flames tend to play them well. Hope they want to finish this road trip off strong, and I think they do.
Flames win it 4-3

I was surprised to see PK leading the team in points (with only 44), and that their leading scorer only has 18 goals. Goes to show how balanced they are; of course, they are terrific defensively (3rd in goals against).
Going to need a stingy effort because it will be difficult to get more than a couple past Pekka. 3-1 Flames (with an ENG)

Win tonight and it's a 4-2 road trip in some tough buildings to play in. I would take that every day of the week.

Wills on the Fan said that Frolik is nursing some type of injury, but expects him to be in the lineup.
Said it wasn't likely related to the face shield grab by Marchand.

If they lose it's 3 losses in the past 4 games or 2 out of the last possible 8 points. The way the team plays at home a .500 road trip may not be good enough in the big picture. This is a pretty big game for this team.

Always the ray of sunshine of CP.
A 3-3 road trip isn't that bad either. Certainly can recover. The game is game is big, but it's not do or die by any stretch.

Whats the deal with Mike Fisher? Haven't seen anything about him since they came out and said he was coming back from retirement. Has he signed a contract yet? Is he practicing with the team?

I really wish you would quit this crap. You know it's possible to engage in conversation without the backhanded comments. Maybe you could start taking the high road and try to be part of the solution here instead of being part of the problem.
Nobody said it was do or die but this team doesn't have a good home record to fall back on. Most teams are happy to come home .500 on a road trip as they have better home records. That's not the Flames as they are the exact opposite where the only reason they are in the playoff race is because of their road record. Coming home from a .500 road trip means they really have to pick up their game on home ice.

Only two scenarios have been swirling through my head, and I mean no offense but I can't shake it. Either 6-3 Preds or 5-0 Preds maaaybe 5-1. Sorry.

So you're expecting a 3-3 road trip to mask the fact that this Flames team is bordering on incompetent on home ice? This team needs to go 4-2 on road trips like this to cover up the fact they will likely go 3-3 in the next stretch of home games.
Winning this game will be a very tough task. The Flames need this one bad so they better bring it tonight. Absolutely need to win the special teams battle for once to pull this off.
