Rittich sketchy?

No.

Time and space for shooters, defensive bungles. He made a number of good saves.

Rittich would have liked Zadorov back, but other than that, I thought he was solid.

Wow, Flames seemed to get rattled...

After that they played extremely poorly...

Not a great game..

They will need to get on a run, really soon

Certainly not trying to blame the game on Rittich but he was part of it.

The first and second goals he has to have. The third and fourth not on him at all.

But bottom line you can't allow 4 goals on 10 shots in 10 minutes and win games.

It goes back to faith in Elliott. Depending on who the goalie is, if he lets in a softy the team immediately changes their composure and starts making bigger mistakes. Rittich hasn't proven to be like Smith or Kiprusoff yet, and has had some struggles over the last couple of weeks. So that weak goal by Zadorov certainly affected the team which is already fragile. That was a save he had to have.

See, I disagree on the first one and maybe two. Maybe he wants Zadorov back but I can not see any blame on MacKinnon. I understand that goalies can in fact let in quick precise shots that they see, especially when the shooter has time and space. Every goalie will let in the odd snipe.

I agree on the last two, goals 3 and 4 are on the Avs for good plays and Flames skaters for bad ones, and not Rittich at all.

I agree that you can’t let in 4 goals in 10 minutes and win, but would direct that statement at the team, not Rittich

I read a lot of hate on Stewart after the Dallas game, comments like how he was a cast off and people wouldn't even trade a 3rd for him. Yet now it sounds like Calgary, Dallas and San Jose put claims in on him. He may not be first line material, but he definitely was an in demand commodity for bubble teams looking for a boost.

Hopefully a couple practices and a stable lineup position can help him settle into his game.

I don't know that I've ever been more disgusted at the reffing in this league than the call against Gaudreau. Bad enough to call that diving, but then to let your ego get in the way and banish him was just unprofessional.
