Well back from the show at Rexal and overall it was pretty good.

Seether opened and I did not like them to begin with but now my hatred has grown tremendously. The band covered a Pantera and Nirvana tune. Where on earth to they get the balls to do something like that. Kurt and Dime would be rolling around in their graves if the only heard the horrid covers this band did.

Audioslave tunes were ok but I am not a huge fan of them but man did they cover some great tracks from their former bands. For the soundgardens fans going tomorrow they played Spoonman, Blow out the outside World, Black Hole Sun, Outshined and one more but my minds a fog right now. The last three were done by only Chris on the acoustic but he did a great job filling the void of the soundgarden band members, it was soft but damn good. The RATM songs were also great to hear they began with an instrumental of “bulls on parade” were Morrelo made magic with his guitar (there is no one like him today), that lead to “sleep now in the fire”, they also did “killing in the name”, and Testify.

The covers were done real well and you guys are in for a treat tomorrow. No Temple of the Dog cover which I was really hoping for but overall the show was really really good…well the covers were.

Did they play "Shadow on the Sun"?

We went to the show in Edmonton and had a great time. I don't have much to add to Loosh's comments but I was looking forward to the TOTD covers as well. I also thought that the Soundgarden covers were good, but Audioslave isn't IMO nearly as good a band technically as Soundgarden was...still a tight tight show tho'

Seether opened for them?? I'm not a huge Audioslave fan, but man, these grunge wannabes are such an insult to the original music of that time, I'm suprised Cornell allows them to be on the same stage as him...when I hear bands like Nickelback cover Alice in Chains, and Staind cover Pearl Jam, i'm wondering how did all that great music from back then inspire such crap...

Sounds like they did alot more Soundgarden and Rage tunes in Edm than they did here. Would have loved to hear Blow up the Outside World. Tons of tunes from Audioslave. Sound was good, Cornell played the crowd very well. We got Spoonman and Black Hole Sun. Ears aren't ringing too badly. Money well spent.

I thought Seether were pretty decent really, what's wrong with a tribute to bands who's songs you love?

Really it's about immaturity on my part, when you grow up loving certain bands (both pantera and nirvana) and you watch a band you don’t like cover them (not very well to add), it makes me feel gross. Just makes me cringe when i see it happen.

Kinda like how some got when all the bandwagoners jumped on during the playoff run. I'm sure they grew up loving the bands and they were probably influenced by them, but just seeing it on display for so many to see just didnt sit well with me.
