Default Suggestions for TV wall mount

I did a search in my phone and didn't see any recent topics regarding TV wall mounts.
If there is a current thread already mods pease delete this one.

Looking for a TV wall mount for our 47"LCD, our 3 year old keeps hitting the screen with his toys and mucking it up

Best buy and sears seems to be quite expensive compared to ones on Amazon. I'm looking into this one but would love to hear opinions on others
Thanks

I found the exact one you have linked at Costco last year. they seem to have a way better selection than Best buy, future shop ETC. an reasonable pricing.

The seller you list in your OP, I have bought cables from them before. Always superior quality.

When wall mounting our TV we got a cheap one from Visions. This one- I think. The problem was the amount of metal it ends up biting with is about a millimetre. So all it would take is a little bump from below to come crashing down. Returned it and got another. The one we had originally my son and I fought with getting it hung for almost an hour. The replacement took us about a minute. (Hanging the TV, not attaching the wall plate part.) My wife was shocked that it was that much easier.

So there is something to be said for being able to view the mount before buying it.

I bought a simple one at Princess Auto.

No complaints, doesn't swivel or go side to side but it tilts up and down. They have a pretty decent selection for cheap.

I wanted one to swivel 90 degrees with my 50" TV and it has worked well. Only downside was no cable management, but zip ties have been doing the job.

Good call on Costco, their website is showing a much better variety then the best buys, sears etc.

Good to know about the seller, also good point about being able to view it, want to make sure the mounting plate doesn't cover any of the inlets

I kinda went overkill with this http://www.sanus.com/en_US/products/mounts/vlf220/ but it works like a charm. I can swivel it between two rooms and it hides all the cables.

Only other bit of probably obvious advice it to bolt whatever you end up with to the studs with quality lag bolts.

Drywall toggles will easily carry that load.... if your brain will let you sleep ever again without worrying about your TV....

Hey CP, I am looking for a recommendation for a company or someone that could help wall-mount my parents' TV.

I always go with newegg. I just bought this one:

https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...-109-_-Product

Sale ends in 2 days and its rated 5 stars with 103 ratings.

No need to hire anyone, its extremely straight forward but I understand that doesn't answer your question.
