The Wednesday OOT features eastern conference teams only. The pattern continues when the Blues and Flames play, only two OOT games. That is better than just a single game the previous two times.
There's no need for that, he was just pointing out that other teams have congested schedules too. Toronto has the benefit of playing in the eastern conference so their travel is generally shorter than it is for western teams.
Leafs play 13 games in December 11 of them on the road with 4 back to backs in those 13 games. It's weird.

The LEAFS would NEVER play Calgary/Edmonton on Wednesday and Thursday and then have a home game on Saturday...They come out here for a week and play 3 games.
Leafs barely leave their own time zone...and many times when they do start times are adjusted. Calgary probably puts on more miles in December than the Leafs do all season
As far as B2B vs. a rested team, the Leafs have the T15th most this year, and they have the 5th-fewest travel miles. So if anything their schedule is above-average.
