Default Leafs 4 Flames 1

Leafs 4 Flames 1

- That wasn't pretty
- Predictable with the first game home from a long stand
- Bottom half of the roster got beat up badly

Familton 15.4%, Lazar 18.8% and Stajan 20% Corsi.

That is just plain unplayable dog crap. Hopeless, the three of them.

Stajan is done and Freddie & Lazar are no good too.

No serviceable 4th line centres anymore, and not even much better with 4th liners Versteeg & Brouwer either.

Entire group of 4th liners on the Flames flat out and straight up suck. No good.

Interestingly, Bingo's article mentions how GG has developed the first line that can be counted upon for two-way play. However, in Mike Babcock's post-game press conference (heard on the radio broadcast), Babcock was talking about how happy he was that the Leafs' first line was matched up against the Flames top line.

I think Babcock said something to the effect of it gave the Leafs forwards a lot of time in the offensive zone tonight.

^^^ Exactly!

Matching lines is a thing... its a thing that works. For GG to say he doesnt want to really worry about matching lines, and have the "whatever line is out there compete against the guys on the other side of the ice" is just plain silly. Especially when playing at home...

When Hrudey said on the telecast last night that GG wasnt going to work at matching lines, it didn't make any sense to me at all.
