I'm completely torn on the Knights/Oilers game. A Knights loss would obviously help the Flames. But on the other hand, I also want the Oilers' current misery to continue.

I'm still banking on the Knights having no chance at finishing top 3 in the division over the course of a season, so I'd rather chalk up another Oilers loss. I'd really like to see them fall hopelessly behind a playoff spot by the end of November.

My NHL wish priorities each season

1. Calgary does well
2. Edmonton does not do well
3. Who cares

I don't mind the Knights having a bit of success. LA and San Jose can still drop out of the race just as easily, and I'd peg the Knights as a good candidate to tumble. Just look at the numbers guys like Engelland and Perron are having right now and tell me that's sustainable.

One thing that will never change is that warm, fuzzy feeling of Oilers fans jumping off the bandwagon after their annual ritual of summertime parade planning.

There is no decision here - an Oiler loss is always the desired menu choice.

Also, there is no way the Knights hold onto a playoff spot all year. And even if they do, who cares? It would make a good story.

Wow what an awful call in the Pittsburgh game. Pens on the 5 on 3 and Scandella winds up and 2 hands hornqvist and they call hornqvist for interference on the phantom call because they had to call Scandella. Just awful.

I can't believe with all the goalies available to Las Vegas in the expansion draft, Maxime Legace is on their roster. I know they're starting the season strong and GM is probably smarter than me about GM-ing as a whole, but this still confuses me months later.

Two slow teams. But Vegas has more structure.

Historic for LV as it is the first time the golden knights have encountered the likes of McSaviour and should be in awe of his presence

LOL... Oilers are now an expansion team, never mind they'd been playing in the WHA already. But gotta have that "expansion team" record in the books.
