Toronto needs to claim Corrado so they can sit him again. They're mean like that.

Flames gave Shinkaruk every chance too make the team and he failed. Looks like a career AHLer.

I think the Flames failed him.
He was better at hockey when he joined the organization than he is today. That can't happen for a young guy.

Shinkaruk will be claimed. I'd be floored if he wasn't.

Is there a team out there willing to put him on their NHL roster given what he's shown so far? I'm not convinced but if you are right the. Oh well, the flames have several forward prospects that look to be ahead of him right now

Wouldn't be surprised if Vegas took a flyer on him.

I would. Vegas has way too many bodies as it is.

Shinkaruk looks like he will be the classic case of a guy who can't adapt to a third or fourth line role defensively, but isn't good enough to crack the top six. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the KHL in the next couple years.

Well no not exactly -- just always liked his game when he was up. I think the writing was on the wall that he couldn't be a center here but looking at his faceoff stats Granlund on the wing here could have made some sense.
I know why we let him go though - Tre was quite open about it - but still wish we had him over a waiver wire Shinkaruk.
That said I don't even think Granny would fit anywhere on the wings here and definitely not at center so its a wash.

Yikes, take it easy.
- Shinkaruk is 22 and all of a sudden he's a career AHLer?
- We'd rather have Granlund? Why? So he could be the Heat's top line centre? Who here thinks Shinkaruk wouldn't make the 'Nucks opening night roster and put up similar numbers to Granlund?

Have to imagine Kulak is likely to have won the 6th, if not 7th job while Valimaki gets more pro time?

Before anyone asks, no one is claiming them either.
