Thinking of taking the little one on her first fall leaf viewing expedition (she's nearly 2), and was wondering what a good spot is. Fish Creek I guess is one possibility, but I don't know what condition it's in since the flooding. Any other good areas, or nearby areas? Does Big Hill Springs have good fall leaves? That's not too far from where I live (Evanston)

The drive out to Kanaskis/McLean Creek/Elbow Falls via 22X is really cool in autumn. From Priddis to the Bragg Creek turnoff you'll see colours that you never knew existed in nature.

I can't believe I had an answer to your question.

22X out by Bragg Creek. When all the larch trees turn it's beautiful. Just go for a small jaunt out there on foot or on your bike. By far the best place.

I suggest hopping in the car and aim it due east....drive for about ...oh...2-3 days. Once you are in Ontario you will be amazed at the color of the trees in the fall.

If you don't wantto go outside the city, I would suggest the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary

The Whaleback, past Indian Graves, is wonderful for leaves turning gold at this time of year . . . pretty spectacular. . . . . but the road is gravel.

Fish Creek Park in back of the plant place on Macleod is pretty closed in with trees . . . .

Yeah, I know, I'm from Ontario originally.
