I'm torn, want to cheer Canada...but going to New York in two weeks and would be awesome to catch an NHL game at MSG.

Sens are the only other Canadian team I don't mind too much. Wouldn't mind seeing them move forward.
Also cheering for Preds as I think if the Oilers somehow manage to move on to the next round, Nashville should be able to knock them out (trust the Preds more than Blues)

1-0 Rangers early.
Zuccarello from Zibanejad. That's an awesome duo of names.

What's the channel for the NBC feed? I cannot stand listening to Romanuk yell anymore.

Anderson costs the Sens another goal due to his poor puck playing ability. Just stay in your net.

Well that was a freebie. What was Anderson thinking?

Pageau with another goal. Unfortunately for the Sens they are still down 4-1.

The game is on NBCSN which is not on cable in Canada. The weekend games are on NBC. Your options are TVA Sports in french, the radio feeds online, or most sports stations across Canada are picking up the Senators feed.

The shots are 20-16 for the Rangers after forty minutes.

I don't like all the cheap shots the Rangers are laying on Karlsson. Same kind of deal as the slashing on Gaudreau's hands we saw over the season.
Teams will continue taking runs at top players as long as the league keeps looking the other way.

They might even crosscheck them in the head, knocking them out long term (probably).
Other pro sports take care of their superstars.
The NHL does not.

It's like some of you have never witnessed NHL playoffs before. The playoffs is what separates the men from the boys. Karlsson is dealing with nothing McDavid or any star player faces in the playoffs. The best players overcome it.

It's truly amazing that they continue to ignore (and therefore support) this behavior.
I love physical play and wish there was more of it. But this crap isn't physical play, it is simply neutralizing talented players by mildly, but incessantly, injuring them.
How the league thinks that is a good idea is beyond me.

We know what happens and how it works.
That doesn't make it right. Or sensible. Or optimal. Or entertaining.

Not arguing that but it's nowhere near what it used to be when guys like Domi (knocking out Niedermayer out cold), C. Lemieux (rubbing out Draper), Stevens, etc were attempting to end careers. If that Crosby incident which was by chance and not premeditated is making news can you imagine what that infamous Stevens cheap shot that ended Lindros's career would garner? I have no issue with teams hitting star players more in the playoffs and taking their space away and I really didn't see anything that bad on Karlsson tonight. They went on about an elbow but it was the type of weak elbow that happens in every game.
We all know NHL officiating is the worst in professional sports but it's largely a product of the owners that have allowed this to happen and they don't seem to care.
