My Fiance is selling a 94 civic 4 door with about 250,000 km's on it...How much would a guy expect to get or should ask for this car. It is well maintained and has had a recent inspection on it with the necessary things fixed

Shoot for the moon.
List it as "Limited Edition" (Always true, I have yet to see a car model that had an infinate production run), and as a "Collector's Car", also always true, because you can always just say that you collect cars but never really found another one that caught your fancy, so so far your colleciton only consists of this one car. Once you've dazzled then with all of that, you should ask for something around $25000 and finnish with "And beleive me, it's a steal at that price".

Just roll it into a ditch and forget about it. Easier than trying to find some sucker to take it

Depends on what major works needs to be done to it (ie timing belt, struts). Assuming that there's nothing mechanically FUBAR about it, I'd say roughly $6,000 (that's a very rough estimate BTW). It would be worth more but that's some hefty mileage you got on it there. I've been scouting out 94-97 Civic CX hatchbacks and most seem to be slotting into $8,000, but they'll typically have about 150-200K on the clock.

As others have mentioned, other classified are probably a better determinant.

$6000? Man that's really pushing it. I would assume no more than $3000, and thats on a good day. That is a hell of alot of clicks, and who knows what the next inspection may hold...

I sold my 97 Civic sedan in June for $3600, it had 223,000km on the clock, visible dings, dents and scratches all over the body, and a severely cracked windshield.
