Go Nashville.
I just have this bad feeling that the experience and general wilyness of the Ducks is going to prevail. The wildcard is goaltending.
Neither keeper is a slouch but Rinne can just straight up decide to stop conceding goals. He is awesome.

I don't even mind if the Ducks win anymore. I'm just glad the Oilers are out.
Howeverr, Go Preds.

Ducks vs Pens would be so utterly lame for the Cup final, so of course that's what will happen. Preds vs Ottawa would be so cool. Either a Canadian team or a really fun team with an awesome fan base wins it. And it would be their first.

So something just occurred to me. It's entirely possible that we have a rematch of the '07 final. Can you imagine if the same thing (or something similar, not sure it's reasonable to expect an own-goal to win the cup) happened to the Sens again after that finish? There's potential here for the Ducks to create a Canadian rival whose fans hate their team even more than Flames fans do.

I don't think Gibson has been all that good, nor have the Ducks as a whole for that matter. The Predators should win this series in five or six games.

Nashvilles' Theme this year given by Peter laviolette, is get after the puck like a dog after a Bone. In fact after wins he puts on ac/DC's give a dog a Bone.
Nashville's first line is christened the JOFA line.
All of that info is from Wikipedia so there may be better citations needed.

I think that after games 4 and 5 the NHL officials were given a talking to about the Ducks' shenanigans.
I dont think they get away with the same crap they did against us and the Oilers.
Plus I think Gibson is nursing a hip or groin injury.
I think the Preds get them.

Why would you think that? They got away with murder against us and at least as much if not more against Edmonton despite the fact that the greatest hockey player ever born plays for Edmonton. Why now, all of a sudden are things going to go against the Ducks?

Because i think it reached a climax on the tying goal in game 5. The footage was overwhelming and the league screwed it up. Kesler is not allowed to pull on a goalie's pad while the puck goes 5 hole.
There is also word on the street here in Edmonton that the NHL brought in some senior staff for game 6 and 7 to address what was going on. If true, that suggests more than a passing conversation.
