Solid game for the Flames. Controlled the play for most of the game. Pickard was good for the Avs. Need to beat teams that are below you and the Flames have done that well. Perhaps got a little complacent at the end there. Hopefully a lesson learned a bit there. Can't take the foot off the gas no matter the team.

Even though the Avs made it close you have to look past the score. Looking at the ice times, Gulutzan appears to be resting the best players a bit. Engelland leading, rest of the lines pretty even rather than a noticable split.
