A pretty surprisingly good Flame his 1 year here. I fully expected to hate him, but he won me over quickly.
Great chemistry with Langkow as well. The Langkow diving pass to Bertuzzi for the OT winner vs Minnesota at 5:50 is one of my favourite goals ever.
His beauty vs Buffalo was amazing too.
Based on some of the discussion after my Gio 08/09 video, I'll be making a Huselius 07/08 video as well (unfortunately I don't have the footage from his first 2 years), and probably redoing the Langkow videos I lost with my first account.

What an amazing signing that was, it was so great to watch his skill that year. I remember how polarizing the signing was on here, but I remember how loud the Dome was when he was introduced at the Home opener.
You could tell there was a special feeling for him when he was accepted here, he loved it and really enjoyed that year.

That was a fun season, its too bad they couldn't make it happen
Iggy and Cammi both were over PPG players that year, the Bertuzzi-Langkow-Bourque line was amazing, and Glencross was an elite 3rd liner with Conroy
It's really too bad Jokinen wasn't that missing piece, that was a great team
I think Jokinen sort of was that missing piece. He was pretty decent in that playoff series. I still maintain that we'd have at least made it past the Hawks had that team not been so ravaged by injuries. I still remember Regehr slamming in to the boards and ruining his knee as we were getting ready to head down the stretch that season...deeply saddening.
Regarding Bertuzzi, I do recall there being a decent amount of entertaining moments by his hand. For some reason, my most vivid memory is of him just missing out on a spin-o-rama shootout attempt, and then slamming his stick down in frustration.

IIRC that was the year the Flames had to go with less than a full roster.
Have to join the nostalgia crowd here, that was a pretty good forward group. Defense wasn't nearly as good even before the injuries, but still that lineup could have gone somewhere.
I hated the signing when it was announced, and never stopped. I was ecstatic when he wasn't brought back.
Bertuzzi should never have played a game after the Moore incident. He played nearly 600 more. I know they settled in '14, but if it was for anything less than half of all the money he made during those subsequent 600, Bertuzzi got off lightly.
I was at this game. It was the single most satisfying moment I've ever witnessed live at an NHL rink. Bertuzzi deserved to have that happen to him every night for the rest of his life, and this hit alone earns Rhett my vote for the Hall of Fame.
Great video, AC, thank you for doing it.
