Was flicking through the channels last night I watched a pilot episode (actaully 2 of them) of a new show called Prison Break. The show looks intriguing, but I haven't seen enought to know if I will like it.
Anyone else catch this show?

I caught a bit of it waiting to watch the Ultimate Fighter last night, not much I can add besides the fact that it's nice to know if they ever make a movie about the life of Andrew Ference they have a body double. It was eerie how much the lead actor looked like him.

Bit of suspense and drama with the Who done it aproach.
Intersting twists so far.

I found it to be interesting as it isn't the average cookie cutter TV show that always seems to start up. Looks like it may have a lot of twists and side stories. It is probably like lost where there won't be to many answers in the first season as they will try to build it up. (that is if it makes it from being a pilot)

How long can a show like this go on I wonder...
I mean a 3 year prison break seems like a long time LOL.
Still did it does seem to have losts of little twists. I like shows like that.
Lots of questions but no answers.
They can break out and morph the show into the Fugitive next year LOL. 2 guys on the run looking for the bad guy.

I enjoyed it. Very well shot I thought and well acted though the writing was a little hokey.
It could go either way. Has the potential to be mega cheezy or could be very good. It was good enough that I'll give 'er a few more episodes.

It's going to be contained to one season and I believe the tagline is "Escape is just the beginning" so....

hmm looks like i'll have to try and catch up on the pilot espisodes.
wouldn't be surprised if it was like the lost format, where it flashesback to the past quite often explaining the characters a little more.

There were a few flashbacks yes. Not to many though. But your right it was used to fill in some information that is important to the Characters.

I watched the first three, and my impression is that it's a poor man's (and I mean really poor man's) 24 in terms of it's one-overarching-plot-told-in-weekly-episodes format.
The things that keep it from being appointment TV for me: - Hokey dialogue
- Lead actor annoys me
- Lack of realism - arsenals of weapons, constant ambushes unnoticed by guards, woman apparently abducted and thrown in trunk in the middle of busy city street, etc.

The reason for a PVR:
House, Prison Break, Las Vegas.
Prison Break, according to some boards the season finaly is the break.
They will still need to clear the brother and then the other brother etc.
Amazing show and great premise.

This show is turning out to be really good. Last nights show was the best yet.
And Mike, are you saying 24 is devoid of hokey dialogue, and is anything resembling realistic???? I love 24, but those are definitely not 2 of its strengths.

Yeah, I definitely think the episodes have gotten better. They are still kind of cheesy and maybe a little predictable in some parts, but definitely entertaining. Last nights episode was definitely the best one thus far. I am excited about next weeks episode.

I enjoy the show for the mindless entertainment it is. But the one thing that bugs me is whenever they cut to scenes of that evil woman in the cabin cutting carrots. Horrible. Too much like X-Files cancer man. Frankly I'm not a fan of the entire conspiracy storyline. Focus on the prison break and a simpler explanation for him being framed - more like The Fugitive. The entire government is evil stuff is old and dull.
Other than that good show.

If this thing is going X filesish... perhaps the woman is their dead from liver cancer mother.
I have liked it so far, but what the hell is he seeing that I CAN'T when looking at his "blueprints" ? and if I brought home a matchstick building as a present for my wife, I would be lit up along with the sticks. Bring perfume, bring gold, bring diamonds, but matchsticks?
