Default Jersey City - Lettering Jerseys for $32.50

Was just at Jersey City in Chinook they're doing lettering on Home only jerseys (not vintage, away or 3rd from last year) for only $32.50 (Reg $65) and said it can be done in 45 minutes.

The employee showed me the stitching on some of the orders and it looked very well done. He also told me they'll ask you if you've washed your jersey and if you say yes they won't do the job.

Perfect timing to get that Tkachuk jersey!

Maybe we'll finally get that legendary cowboy-boot-skate logo.

These will be heat sealed...Good if you are only looking for a name on the back for an affordable price, however, they numbers and namebar are significantly stiffer than the regular sewn ones.

?????

Jersey city stitches names and numbers on, they are all I've ever used and that's all they ever offered. It's cheap because they have a stockpile of numbers and names that will never be used again.

We are still on page one and two statements/questions have been raised that are addressed in the OP haha. Come on guys! What a deal, wish it was on other jerseys.

Does it have to be a newer jersey? The one with the Alberta and Canadian flag shoulder patches?

Why is that? I've had jerseys lettered before and haven't been asked. (Nor has my pre-washed jersey had issues since getting done years ago.)

I thought it was $3.50 and then it would have finally become clear why the Loch Ness Monster so desperately needed the cash.

Doesn't it normally cost upwards of $90 for sewn on cresting? I'm also curious how they can do sewn on cresting within 45 minutes. Is there a seamstress on site?

My first thought was that this was a heat press version -- I know Jersey City normally does sewn on, but normally they send them away to have it done.

Jersey city does offered stitched jerseys yes. But the customized in 40min jerseys are heat pressed. 2 years ago Jersey City installed the heat press machines. There is no way they are going to get them sewn on in that time.

I asked and he wasn't sure. He said it has been going on for about a week already though so he didn't expect too much longer.

Something to also consider with this promotion, and really any time you buy a customized jersey from Jersey City/PHL/NHL.com/etc. is the "sim-stitch" lettering that is present on some jerseys.

It's kind of hard to tell from the picture below, but basically instead of a three-layered twill, it's one layer twill with the colors and stitch graphics sublimated onto it. It's a very low-cost option that gives the appearance of a sewn, layered number. NHL.com is the worst for this, but I've seen it at a lot of places, including the FanAttic. It's sold for the same price as a properly layered and sewn jersey.

The better case scenario is that the numbers/letters are layered and sewn together, but have an adhesive on the back that can be then heat-pressed to the jersey with no sewing required.
