Nice Find!!

I still remember the 1986 superseries because it happened while the Flames were in that 11 game losing streak and Mike Vernon got the start, before that he was rarely used and it kind of kickstarted his career.

It's crazy how they let children play in net back then.

Don Edwards could win an exhibition game, but very little else as a Flame

Great find, fun to watch.

I remember these games so fondly. Games against the Habs and Flyers were other classics. The game has changed so much with the best players in the world now here, so you could never replicate something like this.

As a kid, I never considered these "exhibitions".

yeah i agree

it's a different world now with high salaries, insurance, playoff races and collective bargaining disputes the NHL really is in it's own bubble.

Loved it when they wrote Seasons Greetings on the ice in script in December. Wish they still did that.

It was serious business back then especially when you got to play their national team. The hype building up to that game was unreal. Plus the noise inside the Corral that night.

They look like stickmen compared to todays goalies. Plus they couldn't just stand there and cover the net with their equipment, they had to be athletic to make saves.
