I use to get calls and texts for some high school girl. Our numbers were off by one digits. I got texts about going to math class and if I could come into work at the theater. One time some girl called, thought I was her boyfriend and got really made at me.

I was getting one for a while that said; "G'night Boo, thinking about you".

I ignored it for a while and then the person sent me a message asking why I never called. I said that he or she had the wrong number. Then about a month later, the same person texted me and said they had the number stored on their phone and if I knew who that person was or had a contact number to reach the person who used to have my number.

Way back in the olden days, we used to get a voice mail on our answering machine (not VM service, but an actual answering machine), about once per month. Uncle Denny was getting pretty upset that nobody was returning his calls and letting him know how his relatives were doing. It finally ended after a couple of years when he left an angry message asking why we wouldn't just answer the phone and tell him that he has the wrong number... I don't know, maybe because we weren't home?
