What's your monthly food bill?

My girlfriend and I kept track in January - but we don't really know where we stack up. You could tell me that our bill is high, low, or right about average and I wouldn't know. My gut says it's about average, my girlfriend says it's high.

In January we spent $622 on groceries and $278 eating out for a total of $900.

That doesn't include coffee which is a separate budget item.

What do you guys spend on groceries/food every month?

Wow, I thought my wife and I were really good at under $600 a month but it seems pretty common reading through that thread.
