When I saw "Bigern" I was like is that a city in Southern Germany? Why is this a thread?
Congrats to McGrattan. It looks like this is basically the Europa league of hockey. Pretty cool they are the first British team to win.
Also, I noticed McGrattan wears 13. Does he think he is the Gaudreau of England haha.

Congrats to McGrattan.
I flew to London in September and while I was waiting for my bags I saw Calgary Flames and Adirondack Flames hockey bags come out on the oversized luggage carousel. Thought, that's weird.
Guess we were on the same flight.

I hate the fighting role in hockey but I always respected McGrattan. He was loved in that room and was very respected by his teammates.
His battle with drug addiction and his change in his life has made him a role model for many people. Very happy he was part of a championship team.
It's too bad he wasn't a better hockey player because I think there's still a hole missing from when he left. I would have loved to see him part of the Flames organization in some capacity.
