Neat! Jan 16 has a very similar schedule.

I do not endorse nor am I critical of online betting. I did however find it interesting that this site has Calgary at 4th overall in their power rankings.

http://www.oddsshark.com/nhl/power-rankings

FWIW they predict wins for Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, LA, Winnipeg, Washington, and Edmonton.

The Dallas Stars are a real bad team. With that roster how are they so bad defensively?

Seguin and Benn will get you points but don't think they'll ever win anything together.

That might be a little unfair to them. They're great players and it's not their fault Jim Nil, who was thought of as one of the masterminds of the Detroit Red Wings, has done nothing to address the defense or goaltending. He should be given the pink slip in my opinion.

They have the Flames goaltending version of Hiller and Ramo in Lehtonen and Niemi - except way more expensive.

maybe, but watch a Stars game and you'll soon see why I don't think it matters who is in net. They give up so many high quality scoring chances. It's like the entire roster is allergic to back checking and defensive awareness.

Yeah that team defensive depth chart is horrible.

The lost Demers, and Goligoski who were top 3 guys for them last season, plus didn't keep Russell and only signed Hamhuis to replace those 3.

Better goaltending would help - both goalies have below average stats even when you adjust for shot quality - but the problem lies deeper on that roster.

Bishop needs to quit handling the puck. He seems to get scored on after trying to play it more than any other goalie.

Saw an interesting stat today. Dallas has the second best 5 on 5 save percentage in the league and the 30th ranked shorthanded SV%.

Dallas goaltending at 5v5 is second-best in the league, behind only Washington. Shorthanded they are league-worst by a lot. #goalies #fun

Brian Boyle makes it 2-1 Tampa over LA late in the second!

And Buffalo beat Dallas 4-1 so as of right now it's looking like a pretty good OOT score board. Hopefully Tampa can put away the Kings the Coyotes can take care of the Oilers.

And San Jose is beating Winnipeg 3-0....or should I say Loseipeg. Don't see Maurice lasting too much longer.

Pretty sure that was Thornton's first goal of the season against a goalie.

Nope he scored into an empty net tonight as well. Still hasn't scored on a goalie this year.

The Sharks beat the Jets 5-2, the Sabres get the 4-1 victory over the Stars, and the Lightning defeat the Kings 2-1 in regulation time.

The Red Wings win 1-0 in regulation. Thomas Vanek scored the only goal late in the second period.

The surprise OOT score had the visiting Islanders defeat the Bruins 4-0! After a scoreless first period, the Islanders scored three goals in five minutes in the second period. Kulemin with a pair of goals and Czizikas assisting on them.

And his first goal didn't even go in the net. He was awarded an automatic goal after getting tripped on his way to the empty net.
