Default Picture/Poster Framing

We got a couple beautiful vintage turn of the century posters that we need to get framed in Calgary. Anyone have any recommendations?? And Michael's isn't an option (or a good one...lol)

I've had several pieces framed by the guys at It's Worth Framing. They're just off MacLeod north of Southland in the little strip mall area. They've always given great advice for mat and frame choices, have things to suit whatever your price range may be and get the job done quickly.

I've used Prints Charming for an 18th century print I have, they did a great job and the piece is well preserved. Not cheap though.

I also had some custom object framing done by Framing & Art Centre (across from SAIT) and again, really nice work. Took a while but turned out great.

Prints Charming usually has a 30% off sale in January. They do a lot of poster framing. Don't cheap out on the glass though. Or the other conservation materials.

I had some wedding stuff done as well as a few dry mounts done at Costco. Was rather impressed, especially for the price.

I recently had two photos framed at Costco. They did a good job and were about 30% cheaper than other stores, and 40% cheaper than Michael's. I'd definitely go there again

Ive had a bunch of stuff done at Michaels before when they have their 50% off, or 60% off custom framing "deal".

They've always done an exceptional job but I put deal in quotations, because I think their pricing is a scam. Even with these crazy deals, its still hella expensive.

Next time I need to get something done, I'm going to get a quote from them when this deal is on, then go somewhere else to compare. I'm guessing these extra special Michaels custom framing deals just brings their pricing in-line with what competitors would charge normally.
