What are you most looking forward to in 2017?
The last year for me was tough, I was in a funk, I made a drastic move which turned out to good but could have been disastrous and I wasn't enjoying life.
2017 for me is all about living for the moment. Specifically, lots of trips. I'd like to take some shortmountain biking trips, visit a U.S city or two for long weekends, and just get out there and soak up life.
You?

I am looking forward to going to Japan in March for a week, New York in June for a week, and Europe in the summer for a couple weeks.
Also I'm hoping to get away for a couple of long weekends.

The unexpected. Nothing big in the plans as of yet, I'm hoping something beyond the realm of planning makes it a great year.

Getting health back.
Diagnosed with mild scoliosis in my lower to mid spine and tearing a bicep in one arm and rotator cuff in other shoulder and lots of rehabilitation ahead along with rethinking my approach to end too much work and more enjoying life and spending time with family.
I won't get time lost back which is more valuable than money but wow living in this city/province is getting bloody expensive .

Finishing my MBA and getting back to work, hopefully with an exciting career move and potentially a new city.

I don't know if you're talking about anything specific, but I've found myself in a situation which matches your description.
Just before Christmas, my brothers and I (and other members of my dad's family) were contacted by a genealogy company who were hired to track down the next of kin of an estranged uncle who had died, but hadn't written a will and had no children. He had married, but his wife predeceased him. He was my dad's brother, but he moved to London 40 years ago, and so the only time I ever met him was at my dad's funeral. He didn't keep in touch with anybody, so nobody knows anything about his life. We were advised that we would be receiving letters from the solicitors in the new year. So, we could be receiving a couple of grand each (which would be nice) or if he owned property in London, we could be receiving a six figure sum each (which would be astonishing)
So, I have no idea what to expect in 2017.

The economy being in better shape. A potential career change taking place or at least laying the foundation down to make the switch.

Hitting Millionaire status and becoming an official member of CP at that point.....
In all seriousness, I am 5 weeks back in the work force. I hope by the end of 2017 I see where this new gig might point me. I am also aiming to hike/walk/run the 55km Rockwall Trail, in a single day, this summer!
